Watch your home TV on your phone
Now you can watch your home TV on your mobile phone, no matter where you happen to be. Sling Media, maker of the popular Slingbox video recorder that sends home TV signals to computers connected to the Internet, has released at $29 program that lets you use the phone to control and watch whatever’s on your home TV. SlingPlayer Mobile wotks with Microsoft’s Windows Mobile operating system, standard on many of the more advanced phones. Skype hits 100 million mark
Skype, the Eurpoean-born Internet communications company recently bought by eBay, now has over 100 million registered users. The company did it in just two-and-a-half years, nearly doubling in size from last Septemebr when it had 54 million registered users. Skype uses the Internet to patch through free voice and video calls to computers and, for a fee, to use theoir computers and the Internet connection to call regular landline and mobile phones.
