Wings ride into Dallas with a questionable Mule
Oct 26, 2006
The Red Wings held a short but spirited practice Thursday; clearly they were still in a good mood after beating San Jose, 2-1, Wednesday night.
Or at least most practiced: Johan Franzen left early because of a charley horse, and Mikael Samuelsson (left shoulder) didn’t get on the ice, so it’s hard to think he’ll be ready Friday when the Wings are at Dallas. Brad Norton, though, participated in his first full practice since hurting his left shoulder last week against Anaheim.
The Wings hadn’t pulled Norton off injured reserve as of Thursday afternoon. They’ll probably wait to see how Franzen feels Friday at the morning skate. If Norton does come off, though, someone else will have to come off the 23-man roster.
