Kopecky to play with Datsyuk
Dec 1, 2006
ST. PAUL, Minnesota _ Tomas Kopecky is going to play left wing tonight with Pavel Datsyuk at center and Tomas Holmstrom on the right side, Red Wings coach Mike Babcock said after Friday’s morning skate. Defenseman Brett Lebda will play with Valtteri Filppula and Kirk Maltby. Dominik Hasek is going to start in net against Minnesota. The Wings play again Saturday, at home against the excellent Sharks. This may be Hasek’s first back-to-back of the season, since Joey MacDonald hasn’t distinguished himself in his previous two starts. On the other hand, the Wings have been loath to break from the original plan of not playing Hasek consecutive nights. Good news on the goaltending front: Chris Osgood is going to get his cast off Monday, Babcock said, and may be ready to return some time next week. Osgood has been out since Nov. 12 because of a broken bone in his left wrist.

When will the Wings management grow a pair? If the team is lacking an ingredient which it obviously is because we have no toughness why not learn how to make a trade? I know that is not Hollands sttrength but come on. Our writers like Helene might actually call him on something instead of mindlessly agreeing with everything he says all the time as well.
